Dr Shaun Gabriel is a double-board certified, fellowship trained interventional pain physician. He completed his BA in Medical Ethics and Anthropology at the University of Chicago, where he was the recipient of multiple prestigious awards and graduated with both, General and Special Honors. He attended medical school at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. After which, he completed his medicine internship at Loyola University Medical Center, and then his residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the University of Michigan. Dr. Gabriel completed his postgraduate training with a fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine with the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Michigan.

As a physiatrist and interventional pain physician, Dr. Gabriel’s goal is to alleviate pain and restore function for patients and has had extensive experience in the diagnosis, management and treatment of cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine disorders, as well as a wide array of musculoskeletal and neurological injuries. He has been recognized for his patient care from national honor societies, presented numerous times at national meetings and is published in a peer-reviewed pain medicine journal. As the Medical Director of Rocky Mountain Pain Specialists, Dr. Gabriel’s clinical interests are broad, including intervertebral disc disease, facet neurotomy for lumbar and cervical spine arthropathy, failed back surgery syndrome, spinal cord stimulation and regenerative medicine.

In his personal time, Dr. Gabriel enjoys spending time with his family, attending church, traveling, running, playing music, hiking and snowboarding.
